Rondo (2010)
for organ
This was to become the third piece in a collection of organ music I was planning. Unfortunately, circumstances prevented me from
doing any work at all on the remaining pieces, but I managed to salvage the rondo just in time for a Russian organist's request for
pieces by new composers.
This rondo is built around parallel fifths and is quite uncomfortable to play. It also requires great care in setting up the registration.
My suggestion is to make the pedal blend in with the manuals, and perhaps distinguish between sections by using three slightly
different tone colors for each of the three verses.
